It's more that it's complicated and an entirely ridiculous conversation on the misuse of time travel.

I don't think you would have encountered the phenomenon before but I have to ask? time travel, is it a thing that's happened over there?

So Duplicity's habit of bringing people back wasn't all that strange to you?

There is a popular belief that Gotham itself is cursed in some way. I don't lay a lot of weight on the theory but it is there. I think there's simply a lot of systems that only do the city harm and it's hard to change something so drastically without tearing it all down.
