⚔ THE ARENA, the down
Sep. 13th, 2020 11:51 amInformation
Situated in the Down, The Arena offers a dual function for duel functions.
By day, The Arena offers a rustic, bare-bones gym and training space with a particular focus on hand-to-hand combat. While not as well-equipped or as well-presented as gyms and training facilities in The Up, The Arena caters to clientele who cannot afford or access finer establishments due to designation restrictions, or to those who specifically looking for something a little rough and ready.
By night, The Arena's offering alters. The space is converted into a full-scale fight club.
Fights are typically focused on hand-to-hand combat without weapons and supervised by referees to ensure that the fight ends when one participant taps out or is rendered unconscious. Fights may can consist of any combination of Dominants and Submissives. Some people specifically want to see a couple of Submissives go at it; some people want to see a couple of Dominants clash. Some want to see a Dominant put a Submissive in their place in the ring; some people want to see the exact opposite. Additional rulesets may be included in the fight, for example first blood, ring-out, knockdown, apparel/flag-grab, and so on.
Specialty fights take place periodically and may include more unsavoury conditions or kink-specific stipulations such as last-fighter-standing, fight to (sexual) submissive, props and weapons (may include sex toy and/or BDSM equipment), skewed odds, group/team fights (orgy/gang bang), orgasm-focused (first to climax, who can cause the most from their opponent, etc.), and so on. Specific specialty fights can be arranged by request and can include booking the space for private fights and a VIP only list for additional costs and fees.
Participants are required to pay a fee for entry and a Submissive's fee must be paid for by their Dominant, unless other arrangements have been made either through personal Sub-Dom contract, or through specific waivers and release forms produced specifically to managing staff at The Arena. If a Dominant specifies that winnings are to go to their Submissive and not them, that must be included in the paperwork and the Submissive may collect during regular daylight business hours at The Arena. Uncontracted Submissives may contact a member of staff to discuss their options.
The schedule for the night is posted when the doors open and keen-eyed attendees should be able to spot bookies moving throughout the space over the course of the evening; don't expect the house to have your back if you're a Submissive found gambling through, they will deny any knowledge of gambling on the premises and will swear blind that they do everything they can to crack down on such activities. In reality, a blind-eye isn't cheap here, so engage in this activity at your own risk.
While word is that Oswald Cobblepot still owns the place on paper, it's for all intents and purposes, the Arena is Jacob Fyre's and increasingly it's his name that gets uttered if someone is looking to talk shop about the Arena.
Facilities
If you're looking for state of the art facilities and equipment that is pristine and cutting edge... you won't find that at The Arena.
Overall, equipment available for use at The Arena is safe, functional and kept clean, but there are no fancy bells and whistles.
Equipment for weight and strength training is readily available through The Arena, including benches and several station machines, as well as several punching bags and other sparring equipment.
There are two rings, both bookable for training throughout the day, though both are in very high demand--especially the main stage in the center--so better to get there early in the day to get your name on the list than miss out!
When the workout is done there are locker rooms to get all freshened up. They're split into three--two larger spaces divided by men and women, and one smaller changing room with no gender designation. In all three however the showers are shared and open with changing cubicles available with relatively cheap plastic curtains for "privacy." Again, if you want locking doors and higher quality facilities, you're in the wrong half of Duplicity.
Overlooking the main floor of The Arena is the staff office with large windows often shuttered down when private is being conducted. If you need to speak to management (or who management answers to), that's the place to head.
